Fires are forbidden

During your stay

We place great emphasis on ensuring peace and quiet during the nights, and therefore the area is closed to traffic at night, and people are encouraged to be considerate and keep quiet after 11:00 PM. We reserve the right to ask people to leave who do not respect this rule.

It is forbidden to light fires in the camping area. Dogs are welcome but must ALWAYS be on a leash, including small, cute, and adorable dogs. Of course, owners must ensure to clean up after their dogs both inside and outside the campsite.

It is not recommended to go up the cliff above the campsite for a hike. Instead, go to the right for about 700 meters where there is a safe and good path up to Klausturheiði. See also what to do in Kirkjubæjarklaustur and surroundings
